2 h - Caves Tour
Duration: 2 h round trip Distance: 12 km
Discover the most picturesque part of the Gorges and observe the caves described below (12 km round trip):
3 Sainte-Maxime Cave (1 h round trip): soot marks are still visible at the cave entrance, evidence of prehistoric hearths.
4 The Walled Cave (1 h 30 round trip): according to legend, it was occupied in the 18th century by Gaspard de Besse. It was later used by charcoal burners producing charcoal on the Séouve plateau.
5 Bat Cave (2 h round trip): closed by a gate and buoys to protect different bat species.
3 h - Discovery Tour
Duration: 3 h round trip Distance: 18 km
Travel through the entire Gorges to Lake Esparron without stopping and discover the numerous caves along the route (18 km round trip):
6 Bear Cave (2 h 30 round trip): many archaeological discoveries were made here and, beyond its prehistoric past, it served as a weapons cache for the Resistance during World War II.
7 Lake and village of Esparron (3 h round trip): a typical Provençal village with its castle still inhabited by the Count of Castellane.
5 h - Relaxation Tour
Duration: 5 h round trip Distance: 20 km
Allows you to cover the entire Gorges (round trip) to Lake Esparron and see the different prehistoric caves. You have two hours for a picnic and swimming (water temperature: 26°C in summer). Ideal picnic spot: 8 Pointe du Quartier.
8 h - Full Day Tour
Duration: 8 h round trip Distance: 20 to 24 km
Allows you to cover the entire Gorges (round trip) to Lake Esparron, cruise on the lake and enjoy swimming all day. Optional meal at a restaurant or snack bar in Esparron or at St Julien beach. Mooring and charging available at partner pontoons in Esparron 7 or at St Julien beach 9.
